5 Amazing Things to Do On Your Next Trip to London, England
1. View All the Popular London Sites
If you have watched any popular show or movie based in London, then you’ve seen the popular landmarks in London. From Buckingham Palace to the London Eye to Big Ben, there are so many famous landmarks in London that anyone visiting the city must see. My recommendation is to dedicate at least a day to roaming the city and seeing the major landmarks.
2. Enjoy A Nice Afternoon Tea
Afternoon tea is a prominent staple in English culture. Since afternoon tea has maintained its popularity throughout the year, there are so many different options. Thankfully, restaurants are doing a great job elevating the afternoon tea experience from what it originally was. From a Bridgeteron-themed afternoon tea to a Peppa Pig afternoon tea bus tour, you can not visit the United Kingdom and skip out on afternoon tea.
3. Visit One of London’s Free Museums
Nowadays with major travel sites and apps, it can be very easy to spend a lot of money booking tours. However, it is estimated to be over 100 museums and attractions in London that are free to the public. When developing your London trip agenda, I would highly recommend sprinkling in some free London museums. My recommendations are the British Museum and the Natural History Museum in London. Both museums are full of historical information and artifacts that will keep you engaged in the exhibits and provide more information about the great city of London.

4. Walk Around and Shop In SoHo
When visiting London, if you want to take a break from the touristy downtown area, I would highly recommend visiting Soho. The Soho area of London is full of history and is known for having a lively atmosphere as well as great shops and boutiques. Whether you visit Soho to shop or you find yourself stumbling into a museum, Soho is definitely a great place to visit while in the United Kingdom.
5. Enjoy Great Cuisines From Around the World
By far my favorite part of my recent trip was eating different cuisines. As a military spouse who currently lives in Naples, Italy, I must admit I am OVER pizza and pasta. Being in London and having so many different cuisines and food options to try was amazing. During my family’s recent trip to London, we ate everything from Japanese curry to Indian to African fusion, plus more. When visiting London, make sure you arrive hungry because you will definitely be eating a lot.
